From the Baja Divide to the Colorado Trail and over thousands of miles of singletrack around the world, Wayward has certainly made a name for itself. We've heard a lot of great feedback from the many amazing adventurers who spend time on this bike. So we decided to listen and make some changes to take Wayward even higher.
Wayward V2 is still the same 29+ adventure mover from one adventure location to another, but now with a few tweaks. Starting with the reinforced 3/2.5 titanium tubes that are uniquely cold formed for a better ride feel and titanium glide feet. The geometry has been corrected to fit 120mm of fork travel (instead of the previous 100mm). This slight increase gives it a noticeably more balanced ride feel. We then lowered the top tube to allow the use of a seat tube with more travel. While this sacrifices a lot of space for the frame bag, we believe the comfort of a longer reach seatpost is more important for adventure riding.

WAYWARD GEOMETRY
Wayward has several unique geometric elements. Mainly the drop in the center compound and the chain length. The drop in BB affects how the bike turns, and combined with the chain length affects its stability. On the Wayward, the BB drop is only slightly more than similar bikes, which gives it a more stable and comfortable feel, but the feel is more precise when you start cornering. This is especially important on the big 29+ tires - if the BB is too high, the rider can feel unstable and too "up" on the bike. The chain length is not as short as possible - at 440mm (adjustable to 455mm) we found this optimises stability with big wheels, making the bike much more playful and predictable than other 29+ bikes.
BECAUSE TITANIUM IS MAGICAL
We make our bikes from the best possible materials for the terrain we ride. We use the highest quality grade 9 3/2.5 titanium for our frame tubes and 6/4 titanium for the head tube, center compound shell and machined bits all around the frame. Wonder material has so many outstanding ride quality attributes: 43% lighter than steel, higher strength-to-weight ratio than aluminum, significantly more resistant to impact damage than carbon, and the best vibration damping properties of the three materials. We think you'll agree that we've achieved our goal of creating titanium frames with a modern twist by engineering internal cable routing, integrated headsets and threaded bottom brackets.
